This is because candles are made in batches of three. Only a representative image is provided of candles within the current batch, and subsequent batches that are similar to the original product photographs. The batch listed may have subtle differences in color hue, but almost the same color. Also due to the natural component of palm wax, crystal formations are not always exactly predictable, but similar from one product batch to another. ***************************************** Candle Size dimensions I base all my candle size dimensions on the size of the pillar candle mold I use. All candle wax that is used in conjunction with a mold will shrink. If the wax did not shrink, it would be impossible to remove the candle from the mold once the wax has cooled. Palm wax will vary from bag to bag of wax. Shrinkage typically is 1/16 to 1/8 inches. It is normal for candle makers to specify the mold size rather than the finished candle size. When you order 3 inch diameter candle it will usually measure 2 7/8 - 2 15/16 in diameter actual finished candle size. I use 4 1/2 inch molds for my main product line these candles will come out finished 4 3/8 - 4 7/16 inches tall.
