FAQ's: Do you accept custom orders? Absolutely! In fact, most of my business IS custom orders, so please feel free to email me with any requests or samples of what you are looking for and we will work out the details. Please note, however, that a custom order under 50 cards may take up to 2 weeks to complete. Orders of 50 cards or more may take up to 3 weeks depending on design and complexity. Why do you leave the insides of your cards blank? I believe when you give a handmade card, you cared enough about the person to go the extra length to buy them something special. When they mean that much to you, manufactured words simply are not enough. They need to know how much they mean to you or how you feel about them from your words. Even if you copy a poem or saying, it is still in your handwriting, which makes it that much more special and unique to the person you give the card to. How long does it take you to make one of your cards? Depending on the level of detail and design, it usually takes me about 30 minutes an hour hours to complete a card, from idea to completion. I know some card makers can complete a card in ten minutes, but I take my time to ensure every detail of the card is perfect! Do you offer discounts on shipping if I buy several cards at once? The additional item shipping cost is listed below the regular shipping cost of all my items. However, I do try to include the shipping cost on the envelope or box itself, so you know that what you are paying is what I am paying. I have had scenarios where the shipping cost was lower than expected, so I refunded the buyer the difference. :-) When did you know you wanted to be a card maker? My passion actually started as a scrapbooking hobby, but I love instant gratification, so one day, I made a card. I was so pleased with it, even though looking back it was very rudimentary! :-) I continued to dabble with it for awhile, and then I met my amazing husband, who encouraged me to face my fear and take my passion to the next level, which was starting up my own business and increasing my inventory. Looking back, I am glad that he did so! It's a wonderful feeling to make a card for someone and watch their face light up with joy. You don't have many items in your shop. Do you not sell a lot of cards? On the contrary! Most of my orders are via email or in person. In the past month or so, I made two seperate orders of thank you cards, one was 10 cards, the other 20, two orders of 5 birthday cards, and I am currently working on two additional custom orders, one of which is 20 baby announcement cards. In between, I've made several sets and individual cards as well. Since I hand deliver these cards, they do not appear in my ArtFire shop, but rest assure, my cards are requested frequently! Payments: I accept PayPal and Amazon Payments. Payment is expected within 2 days of your purchase. If I have not been contacted by you in that time frame, the item will be relisted and the sale cancelled. Shipping: I will ship your purchase via the USPS within 1-3 business days of receiving your cleared payment for ready-made items. If you need your purchase on a rush order, you are responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred. Purchases are shipped in padded mailers for safe delivery. Individual cards are packaged with their coordinating envelope in a cellophane wrapper. Larger orders of cards will be mailed in a carefully packed box via Priority Mail with the USPS. With larger orders, I wrap the cards in layers of tissue paper and then package them in cellophane or plastic to prevent any damage during shipping. Please provide a correct, valid address at the time of purchase to ensure safe and timely delivery of your purchase. International buyers: Please send me a message and I will calculate and adjust the required postage. Returns/Exchanges: All of my cards are made with high quality products and attention to detail. I guarantee 100% satisfation! So if you are not completely satisfied, please contact me within 3 days of receiving your item. If items are to be returned, the buyer will pay for return shipping.
