Payment
Payment is expected at the time of purchase. My preferred payment method is PayPal, but I also accept postal money orders. Postal money orders must be made in the exact amount of your purchase (I cannot issue change) and mailed to the address provided when you check out. I will ship your order within two business days of receiving your postal money order. If you pay by PayPal, I will ship within two business days of payment being made, or in the case of eChecks, within two business days of your eCheck clearing.
Please note that I do not accept personal checks, teller's checks, cashier's checks, certified checks, or any type of money order other than those issued by the US Postal Service.
Orders that are to be shipped to a California address will have a 9.25% sales tax automatically added on by PayPal.
Shipping
The shipping costs in my listings cover First Class shipping (either Domestic or International), but I'm happy to upgrade your shipping to Priority or Express if you contact me before making your purchase.
All jewelry purchases are packaged carefully in a gift box and shipped within two business days of payment clearing. If you need a rush order, please contact me prior to making your purchase.
If your order is to be shipped to a gift recipient, please let me know this. I'm happy to include a free gift card with your personalized message at your request.
Please note that if you are in a country other than the US, your Lava Jewelry order may incur customs and/or taxes according to your country's customs laws.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me immediately if there are any problems when you receive your order. I am confident that we can always find a solution that you will be happy with.
For health reasons, I do not accept the return or exchange of earrings. All earrings sales are final.
I also do not take returns or exchanges of custom work or clearance items.
I accept returns and exchanges of necklaces, rings, pendants, bracelets, and chains up to 30 days after the date of purchase (the date that you check out through Etsy). Please contact me at info [!at] lava-jewelry.com if you would like a return or exchange. Please note that you will be responsible for shipping costs to send the item back to me, unless I have sent you the wrong item or the item arrives damaged. Refunds are made via PayPal (if you paid with PayPal), and I will refund money (purchase price minus shipping) as soon as I have received the item in its original condition.

**Custom Orders**
I'm always happy to take custom orders. If you are interested in having something custom created, please contact me. I will be able to give you a price quote and a time estimate for the work. For custom orders under $100, I ask for full payment up-front before I order supplies or start work. 50% of that amount is non-refundable once I have ordered supplies or started the work. For custom orders over $100, I ask for a nonrefundable deposit of 50% before I order supplies or start work. The remaining balance is due before I ship. The only circumstance under which a nonrefundable deposit would be returned to you is if I am unable to complete the work for some reason. Custom orders are not eligible for a refund or exchange. If there is a problem with your custom order when you receive it, please contact me right away so we can find a solution.
**Lava Jewelry Lifetime Guarantee**
I guarantee my jewelry for life, and I will repair damage that happens as a result of normal use, free of charge, for the life of the jewelry. It will cost you only shipping to return the item to me. Contact me at info [!at] lava-jewelry.com if your jewelry requires repair. Please note that this guarantee does not apply to items purchased from the supplies section of my shop, only to jewelry that I have made. Thanks!
