Hand Dyed Cotton Fabric in Medium Spring Green- Fat Quarter, appx. 18"x22". This fabric piece has been dyed using Procion MX permanent dyes in Yellow and Cobalt Blue mixed to make this shade of green. The low water immersion method of dyeing that I use results in beautiful patterns and shadings that can never be reproduced. The shades of green are from very pale to deeper mossy green, with a few areas that stayed quite light.

This fabric is perfect to use for applique, quilting or other projects. The color is permanent and non-fading and the fabric has been rinsed, soaked, and washed several times until the final rinse water remained clear. Even though I have washed this thoroughly, it is always a good idea to rinse it in your own water hot and cold. Water from different areas may react differently to the dye.

I love color and fabric.... It is so fun to see what a piece of fabric that has been scrunched tightly into a small container with dye poured over it will look like when it is done. I never know exactly what the pieces will look like until all of the extra dye has been rinsed and washed out and it has been ironed smooth.
