Product Description
Black Rice Bush Beans are so named because their size and shape resemble grains of rice. Black Rice Bush Beans also compliment rice dishes well. Their small size, makes them a quick cooking bean. The beans are slightly larger than the white variety, average size is less than 1/2" long and 3/16" in diameter. Like White Rice Bean, Black Rice Bush Beans are a dry shell variety that can also be used as a tasty and tender green snap bean, just pick it early, when the pods start to plump, as you would any snap bean. Black Rice Beans naturally have that earthy flavor that dark seeded green snap beans have. The leafy bush type plants are prolific, setting blooms throughout the growing season. For dry beans, pods are ready to pick when they are mature and dried down. Harvest green snap beans in about 55 days. 85 days until full maturity.
