16 genuine Kukui nuts drilled from top to bottom, each are approximately 1" in size and are very durable! Size of each nut does vary slightly. These are Genuine KUKUI NUTS- Paint does not transfer onto your clothes, and these are light enough to make earrings too. Pictures shows a sample of these strung with Buttons (in Violet)- they make cute earrings! Also of a choker & Lei in different colors. NOT included. For longer leis- just buy more kukui nuts!

You will receive exactly enough to make a choker- (which is knotted between each nut.) OR the lei pictured- Can be longer depending what you use as spacers... to be safe... as I stated- buy more Kukui Nuts!!! Last 2 pics show longer leis.

The traditional way to string Kukui Nuts is with ribbon, each nut being knotted in between. When I use other methods of stringing, I sometimes use beading wire, fishing line, and I have customers who even sew them on things! Some even use hemp.
So... USE YOUR IMAGINATION! (And HAVE FUN while you're at it!)
