Product Description
The Woman Heron Mask painting is titled "Her Other Hours", an Original Contemporary Folk Art Painting by Jeanne Fry. This is a large painting that measures 30 x 22, created with acrylics on heavy watercolor paper. The majority of the painting was done using paints from Golden Acrylics "Uncommon Blues" Series, with Anthraquinone Blue, Cerulean Blue Deep, and Smalt Hue.
The painting is sealed with a matte sealant to protect the painting. It is signed and dated on the front and back by me, Jeanne Fry.

The painting comes to you professionally framed in a black frame. This is definitely a statement and conversation piece. Read on further for the inspiration.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
This particular painting is one that has meant the most to me out of all of the paintings I have ever created. It was inspired by a song that I heard one evening by Harry Connick Jr. During the song, this was the image that kept coming to mind while listening. I created this with the woman being a shapeshifter of sorts, that with the great blue heron (which symbolizes Transformation, Authentic Self, Grace, and Patience).
The symbolism of the painting reflects a time at night when alone, vulnerable in one's self, hope and dreams, and removal of the mask one wears as they travel through life...and the urging to remove the mask.
