Product Description

This beautiful one of a kind fantasy mermaid necklace was created using polymer clay and glass beads. The mermaid pendant is 3 1/2 inches long. The mermaid was sculpted by hand using a custom blend of green and blue Premo clay. The colors have been swirled together and her tail fins have been textured, She has long flowing black hair which has also been textured. Her dark eyes and facial features were painted by hand using acrylic paint. I used one coat of sparkle glaze and two coats of high gloss glaze to seal and protect the mermaid. She's holding tight to the 3 inch long pendant which is made from blue and green glass beads and Premo polymer clay in colors to match her tail. The six beaded components which complete the necklace each measure 3 1/2 inches long. They are composed of a teardrop shaped polymer clay bead in shades of swirled blue and green, silver and silver plated bead caps, and blue and green glass beads. The silver plated chain closes with a silver lobster clasp and the necklace measures 18 inches long. This is a unique piece of jewelry, perfect for those who aren't afraid to stand out in crowd ;-)

I created this fantasy mermaid necklace as an entry in the Polymer Clay Smooshers guild's In The Ocean challenge.

This necklace is a one of a kind creation which was made by hand using glass beads, my own polymer clay beads, and a mermaid which I sculpted by hand from Premo polymer clay.
