As you can see, this fringed, newborn baby girl blanket throw photography prop with a hand knit (by me!) base and THICK, textured fringe on two sides in dark hot pink, purple, caramel, vivid green, orange and more can also be used as a hammock sling!

I used 3 strands of strong, durable SOFT yarns in a crazy mix of pink, purple, turquoise, blue and green for the base. Then I added one foot of thick, beautiful fringe on each end.

There's quite a bit of stretch in the throw to play with during photo shoots. If this blanket is not stretched at all, then it's 2 feet wide and 3.5 feet with the fringe. It stretches to 4 feet or more wide.

This one came right from my heart (all of the crazy, exotic gypsy yarns that I wanted to use, including the finest Italian satin ribbon, textured yarn from France and LOTS of sparkle)!

The very first of this style of blankets was a special request from an expectant mother (see the original from Feb, 2009 at http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=13827129 ) ...she wanted a blanket in the same open, lacy, elastic stitch that I use when I make many of my scarves.
