This handmade necklace features the image of a blank-eyed girl with fire red hair on a yellow and orange background. It is a print of an original painting titled "fire" by the very talented Chicago based artist Doug Munson (duplication of his work on my dominoes is with his expressed permission)

The pendant is made from a recycled plastic domino which measures 1 inch x 2 inches (2.5cm x 5cm) and 3/8 inch (1cm) thick. It has been sealed with several coats of a UV-protective, water-resistant coating to protect from normal wear and tear and the occasional caught-out-in-a-rainstorm type of day, but it is NOT waterproof. Please do not wear this jewelry while swimming or bathing.

A screw-eye is firmly attached with epoxy to the top of the domino and a 16 inch (40.64 cm) aluminum ball chain is included. If you would rather have a keychain instead, that substitution can easily be made for no extra charge. Just let me know your preference in the message to seller space when you checkout.

Domino pendants can make a great gift, especially for that hard to shop for teenager in your life. Artsy high schoolers at the school where I teach can't seem to get enough of them! But because each pendant is custom made when I receive an order, there may be a delay of three to five days before it ships out. If you need it to arrive in time for a birthday or other occasion please let me know so I can do my best to get it there in time. We can also discuss what rush shipping options are available.

My jewelry items all arrive nicely gift boxed with a ribbon bow, ready for you to give as a gift or simply enjoy opening up for yourself.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

Doug Munson is a wonderful artist. I first came across his work on Flickr ( where I was blown away by his photography and paintings. I feel blessed that we became online friends and that I was able to meet him in person on a trip through his home base (and my hometown) of Chicago.

I am thrilled he gives me permission to make his creative and entertaining imagery available on some of my jewelry pieces.
