This kettle gourd is dyed with a medium brown leather dye. The top has been cut off to create a lid and the sides have been carved so that a basket weave may be added. The entire gourd is covered in a semi-gloss finish for protection and shine.

This functional gourd basket would be a great addition to a home's decor anytime of the year or especially in the autumn with the warm fall colors and gourd base.

This gourd is approximately 7.5 inches tall with a diameter of 5.5 inches.

Once a gourd dries it will last indefinitely. Dried gourds will not rot (assuming they are kept indoors and out of moist environments) and are basically like wood.
