Why Flax seed? Flax seed is an herbal flower seed. Unlike rice or other grain products (which are mostly water), flax seed is 30-40% oil, which remains inside the seed to be warmed again and again. Most grain products lose their ability to retain heat as the water cooks out of the grains. When heated, a flax seed wrap retains heat for up to 40 minutes, providing a moist heat and promoting healing. Flax seed is also a smaller seed, allowing it to shape into the contours of your body.
