"I guess I couldn't have been more than 8 or so when I found that mysterious little piece of metal on the ground. I had no idea what it was, but I kept it. I fantasized it was part of some terrific airship, and that they'd come for it some day...they'd be so thankful they'd just *have* to take me with them. I dunno... In my teen years I fashioned it into a pendant. I still wear it now and then, on days when I secretly still await those pilots..."
