These lovely brass screwbacked earings feature a half pearl on top and a small very delicate chain from which these beautiful amber colored plastic deco style drops. I believe these are bakealite but I am not certain. They could be lucite. After running hot water over one of the drops I didn't smell anything and then a few moments later a rather sweet smell. If that helps at all. I think from the style maybe they are from the 40's
