Covered in the beautiful sunset hues of hessonite garnet, these artisan wire wrapped earrings from Owl Hollow Studio are large in size and bold in presentation. Hessonite garnet, one of the more rare garnets, is sometimes called cinnamon garnet. The obscure garnet is found in a broad range of colors in the orange family from palest peach to deep sherry brown. Dozens of faceted gemstones of top quality hessonite have been wire wrapped onto hand forged teardrop frames of solid copper. At the top center a series of antiqued copper loops in fleur de lis fashion holds each frame of gemstones, allowing each to sway back and forth sparkling with every movement. A micro faceted teardrop of gold rutilated quartz dangles at the center of each earring. The crystal clear quartz has inclusions with the look of golden angel hair.
The earrings are large in size at 1 1/2 inches wide with a drop or length of 2 1/2 inches. Drop is measured from the top arch of the copper ear wire. Backs are included. Suitable for casual every day wear as well as dressier occasions.
