Vintage Mexican .925 Silver Butterfly Brooch with inlaid Abalone Shell. This colorful Sterling Silver butterfly brooch from sunny Mexico will enchant you with its opalescent sparkle of blues, greens, pinks and purples. This little Mariposa has fine decorative details that add so much interest to the wings which have sweet scalloped edges. Wear this silver butterfly and dream of sunny days spent in Mexico.

The vintage brooch is approximately 1 3/8" inch in length, 1.25 inches wide and is stamped on the back; Mexico, GC 01.925 the GC could refer to the artists Name, which is often done in Taxco and other regions that produced silver jewelry, but I was not able to verify this. This brooch has the original patina; I have not tried to polish it.
Your Brooch will be in an organza pouch or boxed, to keep safely scratch-free.
