Fondue cooking was a hot trend in the 70's. Foods could be fried in oil or broth but many opted for the popular cheese fondue with bite sized pieces of bread, apples, and veggies. The guests cooking concept was an exciting new way to entertain your friends!

Why not have some friends over and have your own Retro fondue party? You will all be feeling so hip! To really set the mood, play some 70's tunes and serve some Blue Nun Liebfraumilch, very popular during the 1970's and it goes great with Cheese fondue.

This vintage fondue set is in excellent condition. I suspect it may have never been used; the finish on the fondue pot is perfect. There are a couple of scratches on the black matte holder most likely from being in the box unwrapped and movement against the other items. This is shown in the last photo. The mod 2 quart yellow enameled porcelain fondue pot with bright white interior and real walnut brown wooden handle with stainless steel cover and wooden knob.

A Black matte fondue stand, walnut brown wood base with fork holder impressions to hold and display your forks.

Six wood handled fondue forks with brightly colored plastic end caps in red, orange, yellow, Ivory, royal blue, and green. So everyone will know which is theirs.

A covered stainless steel alcohol burner, with a handle that slides to control amount of flame for use with sterno type fuel.

The printed instruction sheet for use, and authentic 1970's recipes for Fondue "Au Boef" and "Fondue Suisse". I remember when everyone was into fondue! The fondue set was a popular gift for wedding showers & new home celebrations, unfortunately some people never got around to using the gift.
Maybe they were intimidated by the novel concept, make your guests cook their own food?? Or maybe the opinion was that it wasn't really a meal if it wasn't cooked ahead of time & presented all together on a plate.
