This cute purse has a bandana paisley design embroidered on it. The design, approximately 4.5" x 4.5", includes three metallic threads (purple, light pink, light blue) to really catch the light and create a sparkle! The colors in the embroidery coordinate with the paisley print used as an accent at the top.

The bag is made from black duck cloth, a cloth that is similar in weight and weave to a stiff denim. It is lined with pink linen. There are 3 pockets inside. The straps are made from heavy cotton webbing, with a drop length of 14.5 inches. The paisley tie is threaded through the straps, and can be tied tighter to act as a closure for the bag, or left loose for an accent. The bag also includes a layer of batting to give it a good body. Dimensions are 18 inches wide by 14 inches deep.

I adore paisley and have collected quite a few paisley embroidery designs. Recently I saw some paisley printed quilting fabric and thought - hey, I need to combine these! I bought 6 different fabrics (I just couldn't decide which was the prettiest) and made myself a purse. I love the design and the combination of embroidery and printed fabric so much that I decided to make several more for Artfire.
