Victorian Style Filagree Necklace and Earrings

Product Description

Beautiful lightweight filagree with an unusual patina of verdigris and merlot wine. I love Victorian styles but most are way too ornate for me. This piece has brass filagree that I patined with a sort of sage green and added a merlot highlight. The beads to the piece are a creamy glass that have the rose and sage green highlights. Other beads are beautiful brushed rose copper with a gorgeous satin finish. OOAK piece. Perfect for dress up or going to the Renaissance Faire.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I fell in love with the TV series, The Tudors and watched it more than once, paying much attention to the jewelry they wore. I wanted to make something in that style, but without all the elaborate jewel encrusted decoration. I actually found the creamy beads before I began the piece. Their subtle colors mesmerized me and I did the patina on the filagree to match the colors in the beads.

The necklace itself is 16 inches and lies close to the neck. The earrings are long dangles about 3 inches long
