The scent: This is a fresh and clean scent with bold top notes of fresh baby Bamboo shoots, hints of sparkling citrus Bergamot and tangy Grapefruit, subtle notes of White Cyclamen and sensual Jasmine, winding down to the base notes of Wild Green Grass. Despite the hints of floral notes in this scent, it is definitely a unisex scent.

The recipe: This is my Mango Butter, Avocado oil, Goat Milk recipe. I have added loads of Mango butter for its emollient, skin softening, and moisturizing properties. Much like Cocoa butter, a large proportion of Avocado oil does not react with the lye to make soap and therefore is left over in the final product, making it a wonderfully nourishing and moisturizing bar of soap. It contains high amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2, D and E. Fresh Goat milk has entirely replaced the water in this recipe. There are many benefits to your skin's health by using goat milk soap. Goat milk is loaded with vitamins A, E, C, B1, B6, and B12. It also contains alpha-hydroxy acids which help remove dead skin cells from your skin's surface. The cream that is present in goat milk also boosts the moisturizing properties of the soap as well. This would be an excellent choice for sensitive skin. I recommend using a bath pouf to achieve the maximum amount of lather possible.

Each bar weighs approximately 4 - 4.5 oz. The sizes and shapes vary due to hand cutting. Each bar is individually shrink wrapped and labeled.

To make your handmade bar of soap last longer, keep it out of the spray of water as you are showering and let it dry out between use. You will want to use a soap dish that drains.

I had people with sensitive skin in mind when I made this particular soap. There are no colorants at all in this soap. The tan color is caused by the goat milk in the soap.

What makes handmade soap different

Handmade soap contains natural glycerin, a humectant and a natural byproduct of cold process soap making. A humectant pulls moisture out of the air, draws it to your skin and helps by locking it in. Most commercial soaps have the glycerin removed because it can be used in other more profitable products. Handcrafted soap is more moisturizing, it's gentler on the skin, doesn't contain harsh chemicals or added ingredients to make it do the very things handmade soap does naturally. If made properly, it has a rich, creamy, bubbly lather, it gently cleanses without stripping the skin of its own natural oils, contains glycerin to draw moisture to it and gently nourishes and conditions your skin. If used regularly, you can see a noticeable difference. No more dry, tight, itchy skin.
