This hand-carved piece took weeks to complete, a little at a time! I wanted a piece that looked like it was partially buried. I wanted half glossy and half earthy....but something "royal" to appeal to my Queen B nature. What could be more royal looking than the lovely fleur de lis? I carved away half of the vase (leaving the gorgeous fleur de lis detailing) and underglazed in black, then dipped in clear. The top half of the vase is a glossy black glaze. This lovely white stoneware vase is high-fire. Vase holds approximately 24 ounces and is around 2.75 inches at the base, approximately 4 inches at widest point, and around 6.75 inches tall.
