Unique handcrafted 16 inch doll from our own original pattern. "Emily" is written on her dress in white. Emily is reminescent of the little ladies of long ago with her dark brown braids tied with pert red ribbons. Her denim dress sports long full sleeves and her full gathered skirt is topped with a sweet stripped jumper with alternating blue stripes and off white stripes with little red hearts.
She is the perfect take along friend for that very special little girl, or equally sweet to sit on your bed to await your arrival home.
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
Handcrafted in the historic Schoharie Valley, Emily reminds us of the little girls who grew up along the beautiful Schoharie Creek that flows through our valley. Our area is steeped in American History everywhere you look. While handcrafting Emily I often looked out across the pasture to the Schoharie Creek and imagined what a little girl like Emily must have felt like growing up way back then in these beautiful surroundings, long before the fast pace of today's society. If you enjoy our country's colonial heritage, I am certain you will love her too.
