This listing is for 15 illustrations loose and removed from the book of which they were originally a part.

Among the many works of the artist Phillip Reisman was a set of illustrations he did for a 1939 edition (in English) of Tolstoy's classic tragedy, _Anna Karenina_. The originals were done in watercolor, and reproduced in color in the book.

This set of 15 illustrations were separated from the copy of the book sometime before I found them at an estate sale. They are otherwise in good condition, with some slight yellowing at the edges. They are blank on the back, but have a dark line where they were once attached to the binding of the book.

You will get the exact 15 illustrations pictured in the scans above. These are actual book pages, not copies. Each illustration is one full book page loose. They measure just over 8" x 5" (20.5 cm x 12.7 cm). They would be great for collage or for framing.

I will mail these to you by USPS First Class mail with a cardboard backing to prevent damage during shipping.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

Anna Karenina is one of the classic and tragic love stories of all time. Once I got an unabridged audio book out of the library and it was a good thing, because I was crying so hard at some points I wouldn't have been able to read a book. Not only that, but at other points it made me late to my college classes because I just HAD to hear the end of the scene.

Please note that while it would be fine to incorporate the actual book pages into your artwork, these illustrations should not be scanned or digitally copied. Since they were published in 1939, they are likely still copyrighted.

I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about my work or my policies. Please message me here or email me at

I ship USPS (US Postal Service). I will use either First Class or Priority mail, depending on which is the cheaper option. I want to save you money! If time is a factor, I will use Priority or Express mail. If you prefer I use a specific shipping class or service, please let me know.

I ship anywhere in the world, unless the laws of your country as listed by the U.S. Postal Service say that an item may not be imported it. If that should be the case (which is very rare), I will inform you and refund your money.

I usually make it to the Post Office twice a week, depending my and my children's schedules. I try to ship all items promptly. If there is a delay, I will let you know.

I pack my items very carefully to prevent damage; but should you receive damaged or broken goods, please notify me immediately so I can replace the item!

All of my items - custom and non-custom, handmade or supplies - come with a 100% NO QUESTIONS ASKED guarantee. If you are unhappy with an item FOR ANY REASON, I will replace it, repair it, or refund your money. If a piece of jewelry breaks, even two years from now, contact me and I will repair it. If it doesn't match the outfit with which you wanted to wear it, let me know so I can replace it or refund your money. If a collage sheet or a digital stamp is not the quality you expected, please let me know. If the item is not digital, I will ask that you return it if possible for a refund or replacement. If you need to return an item to me for any reason (replair, replacement, or refund), I will refund you the cost of shipping.

All of the images I sell are made from Public Domain or 'no use restriction' graphics. I do this specifically so that an artist or artisan may use the INDIVIDUAL graphics ANY WAY they wish, without needing to worry about copyright or attribution.

For collage sheets, this means that all I ask is that you do not copy, display, or distribute the collage sheet itself. You may use the INDIVIDUAL graphics found on collage sheets or CDs ANY WAY you wish, without attribution. You may use them on physical items such as cards or artwork, even items for sale. What you are paying me for is the time it took me to collect, clean up, resize, and/or arrange the graphics. Please respect that work by not distributing the sheet itself.

For CDs or collections of digital images, all I ask is that you do not distribute the collection itself. You may use INDIVIDUAL graphics any way you wish, including on webpages, blogs, and digital artwork. You may print INDIVIDUAL items, and use them any way you wish, even for commercial applications. You may create your own collage sheets from the images. What you are paying me for is the time it took me to collect and clean up the images. Please respect that by not copying or distributing the collection itself.

All of my digital stamps are AT LEAST 300 ppi (pixels per inch). They are transparent .png files. If you prefer or require .jpg images, please contact me and I will try to accommodate you (some images don't do well as .jpg files.)

My digital stamps are made from public domain graphics. You may resize them, and use them for any application you wish, digital and non-digital. However, please do not share the digital files (either individual or collected in a .zip file). What you are paying me for is the time it took me to clean up the images and convert them to single color transparent files. Please respect that work and do not distribute the files themselves. Print them out or incorporate them in your work online any way you wish, however!

All of my necklaces and circlets are one-of-a-kind creations. I do not duplicate designs exactly, except when requested to do so as a custom order, though I may make a similar item. Earrings, bracelets, or rings may not be unique, as I sometimes repeat popular designs of those items.

I list the materials I used to create each piece of jewelry in its description, so you know exactly what you are buying.

I welcome custom jewelry work, if it is within my skills to create your vision. Please inquire so I can see how I may help.

Most of my miniatures are standard 1/12 scale. I can and do work in other scales occasionally. The exact size and scale of any miniature is listed in its description. If you like a miniature but want it in a different scale, please inquire to see if it can be made in another scale. If it can, I'll be happy to make a custom order for you.

My sewn miniatures (pillows, bed covers, rugs, etc.) are machine sewn with finishing touches put on by hand. They are designed to be durable, so they can be used even by the youngest miniaturists (but not for children under 3!). Most are hand washable with mild soap or detergent, should they become dirty.

You may use individual graphics from my 'frame-it-yourself' sheets any way you wish, even in dollhouses, miniatures, or roomboxes for sale. You may frame them and sell the framed pictures. Please do not distribute the sheets themselves. What you are paying me for is the time it took me to collect, clean up, and resize the graphics. Please respect that by not copying or distributing the sheet itself.

I welcome custom miniature work. If you like my work, but don't see exactly what you need, please ask. I would love to try and help you create your miniature world!

You are free to resell any of my individual items so long as you do not claim to have done the work yourself. Please tell your customers that the item is a 'Tidbits Trinkets' creation.

You may use individual graphics for any project you wish, but please do not sell the collage sheets or digital collections without giving me credit.

I welcome wholesale orders. Please inquire if you wish multiple items for your retail shop.

A link to my website or store along with the sale of my items would be greatly appreciated.

If you are unsure about my policies on resale of my items, please feel free to email me at and ask.

I welcome custom work in any of my creative fields. I will make custom jewelry, custom jewelry kits, custom miniatures, or custom collections of graphics. If I am unable to help you create your vision, I will try to direct you to someone who can! But PLEASE let me try to do the work first!

I do not charge anything extra for custom work - your cost will be the same as if I had made the item to list in my store. The cost of an item is determined by the cost of the materials and the time it takes me to create the item. My rates are extremely reasonable, I assure you.

The only exception to this is a custom collection of graphics - collage sheet or digital collection. UNLESS I can sell copies of the finished product as well, I will have to charge you for the time it took me to gather and clean up the images for you.

Again, if you have any questions about any of my items or policies, please feel free to message me or email me me at
