Soy wax comes from a natural, renewable resource and is bio-degradable. Soy candle residue can be easily cleaned up from solid surfaces with soap and hot water. Soy wax is eco-friendly, clean-burning, slower burning, and nearly free from visible black soot when burned properly. Soy wax contains no toxic chemicals or carcinogenic compounds. Supports USA agriculture soy bean crops.

Soy wax is a challenge to work with when making candles, especially when making colored candles. Soy naturally likes to 'frost' or mottle and sometimes has uneven surface after burning. However, be assured that we do not add paraffin to smooth out the tops of the candles or prevent frosting.

At VC, our specialized soy candle artisans test every candle fragrance oil used with our soy wax to ensure that the proper wick-size is selected for each fragrance.

Proper wick size is important for maximum candle-burning performance - as it affects the size and depth of the melt-pool of wax, the flame height, and the length of candle burn-time.
