"Uncle Izzy" handmade rag doll from the heart of the Ozark Mountains is sure to win your heart.

Izzy is all handmade from little bits and pieces of scrap material. His pants are made from recycled jeans and as you can see, he has a few patches. An old red bandana serves as his shirt. Uncle Izzy is just too poor to have a belt, so he holds his pants up by clothes line rope. He does manage to keep a clean hankerchief on hand that he hangs from the seat of his pants.

Izzy is of course, barefooted. He likes the feel of the earth beneath his toes. With bright blue eyes, scraggly beard and an old floopy hat, Izzy always has a smile on his face.

From the top of his hat to the tip of his toes, Izzy stands 23 inches tall. He's a little on the slender side. Game has been scarce in the hills lately so he's looking a bit thin.

Uncle Izzy is a fun rag doll for all ages. He is the ultimate Hillbilly and completely hand made. His face has been embroidered and his hair and beard have been hand stitched on. His legs are slightly bent.

Thousands of tourist visit the Ozark Mountain region every year. Many come to find handmade items unique to the region. Hillybilly dolls have always been a favorite.

This doll took 2 1/2 days to make. Much of putting him together is done by hand while other parts can be made on the sewing machine.
