Alpha Stone, a custom stoneware clay body the artist assisted in developing, was used in the creation of these delightful, witty pottery pieces (be sure to take a peek at the whole collection; you won't be disappointed!). Cultivated around local Northern California fireclays, it also contains small amounts of Missouri fireclay and other natural minerals...these vessels are truly unique! The glazes contain no lead or toxic materials, and all are made from scratch in the studio, some exclusively developed. When fired, the clay body and glazes are calculated to mature at the same temperature so they become a cohesive, sealed unit - they're dishwasher, microwave and oven safe (not for use on stovetop burners).
