LOVE this beastly beauty. Always a favorite subject bugs can be beautiful. The color array is striking and the size isn't bad not huge but not small either. The brooch measures about 2 1/4 inches wing tip to wing tip by about 1 and 1/4 inches tall. The lacy gold tone wings have a nice antique patina that has been acquired over decades.
