Product Description
Beautiful fine bone china Aynsley trinket jar in their collectible and best selling Cottage Garden pattern. Circa 1970s - 1980s.

On the front of the jar is a myriad of wildlfowers and butterflies in vibrant colors against the pure white bone china. The back of the jar has a smaller floral relief with a brilliant blue butterfly on the lid.

Blue stamp on the bottom which was introduced in 1972.

Stands 4.5in (7.5cm) tall with lid and approx 3.5in (9cm) diameter at the widest part. The opening is 2.25in (5.6cm)

Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. Has been in a China cabinet and is like new.

John Aynsley II introduced 50% calcified bone ash to their porcelain, creating "bone china" that was stronger and whiter than their counterparts.
