This brightly colored wall hanging is a medallion style quilt. The black Ohio star block sits on a background made from neon shades of blue, green, yellow, purple, pink and orange strips. A swirl of black seed beads graces the center and pink eyelash yarn outlines the star. Hand rolled paper beads and decorative beads hang on the colorful checkered border. On the corners, fancy blue swirls of yarn finish off the embellishment explosion. In one corner of the quilt there sits a pretty little angel doll that I call the worry angel. I believe she collects your worries at the end of the day and rolls them up into beautiful beads to adorn her world. She is the reason this quilt is called The Worry Catcher.
This artful quilt is 30 by 30 inches. It is machine pieced and quilted and should be carefully dusted with a dry cloth, with special attention paid to the beads. The doll is firmly attached and is not a toy.

This quilt reminds me of a note that my son wrote when he was little, asking the bogey man to please go away. It seems to me that this quilt may have made him feel better. I think anyone, young or old could use a way to get rid of those nagging worries at the end of the day. This quilt does that in a very colorful, beautiful way.
