Using traditional lampworking techniques, starting with a heart or tube/tab bead. After proper annealing, then stained glass foiled and soldered with high content silver solder.

Approx 2" length in red/striped hues of green and blue, simply lovely.

Flamed Stained is my nickname for the collection of beads that I flame on a torch and then stain using traditional stained glass materials. It started by accident. I had just completed the most lovely hollow heart after lots of time spent shaping the glass. It came out of the kiln looking great, except for a hairline crack that I saw on a QC check. Hmmmm. So I thought about ways to camouflage the crack, and got my silver gleem solder warmed up. Folks loved them. And then I made more.

YOUR heart won't be broken, the design just started this way...sort of like how Post-It Notes were invented : )
