How about making cleaning fun with these handmade crocheted tawashi birds? They are made with one side cotton yarn for gentle cleaning and the other side nylon tulle for those rough spots.

These birds are made with red cotton yarn for the bodies and bright yellow beaks and feet. The eyes are made with black cotton yarn. On the back I have used red nylon tulle. Birds are approximately 5 inches tal and 5 inches wide.

These tawashi scrubbers are good for dishes, scrubbing sinks, or for use in the bathtub. Just please use a separate one for each job.

The birds will dry quickly and be able to be left on the counter without making things look messy. To clean them, just throw them in the wash and air dry to avoid too much color fading. For sanitizing them between washes when using in the kitchen, I get them wet and put them in the microwave for one minute. Be extremely careful when removing them from the microwave as they will be very hot.
