This unique, one of a kind fantasy dragon trinket box was sculpted by hand in polymer clay. It measures 5 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 7 1/2 inches tall. I covered an empty coffee tin in gold polymer clay, then textured it to look like stones. I left the lid gold and painted the body of the container with shimmering red acrylic paint. This box features a family of dragons. Father Dragon tops the lid, and his tail doubles as a handle. I mixed black, blue, red, and purple embossing powder into the reddish brown clay before baking. This adds a unique dimension to the dragon flesh. I used blue fire polished glass beads for the eyes of all the dragons. I also used a stamp to texture their skin before baking. Father Dragon has a heavy gauge wire running through his body and tail, making him strong and sturdy. Mother Dragon peers around the side of the box at her baby. Each dragon is a slightly different shade of red. I sprinkled silver embossing powder on their horns and faces, as well as on Father Dragon's wings. I glazed the box and dragons with high gloss glaze. This is a unique and useful fantasy piece, sure to get noticed in your home.

These trinket boxes started as a way to recycle my empty flavored coffee tins. They make wonderful little containers, as well as being sculptures in their own right. This would make a very special gift for anyone who likes fantasy and dragons.
