This is a key chain with a hidden compartment useful for storing a small number of bills, matches, or toothpicks. Perfect for the house and car keys with a little extra bonus. This one is turned out of Purpleheart and completed with gold-plated hardware.

A bit about of the process of creating these key chains: I start with a hand-selected bit of wood and the bits that make up the key chain. I then spend some time working the wood to be the proper diameter to match the mechanism. Sand paper is applied, through a number of grits, to get a nice, smooth surface. Several coats of finish are applied and buffed. The wood and metal bits are then combined into a unique item.
