This Caterpillar Fringe Beaded Bracelet makes a bold statement with the thickness and texture of the fringe!

This bracelet starts with a base of dark brown silver lined Japanese seed beads. After the base was completed, I added the fringe in various shades of brown and gold.

It is just over 7" (17.8 cm) long and 1.25" (3.2 cm) wide. It closes with a gold plated slide clasp.

I don't calculate the number of hours that goes into a project because that takes away from the purpose of making the item -- to have fun! I do know I have more than 15 hours into this bracelet because I'm too picky to just randomly pick up a bead and place it somewhere. The word random is sure to bring hives! So it's worth the time spent up front to plan. Once the planning is done, then I can happily pick up each bead knowing the finished bracelet will have consistent look with no areas having too many of one bead. There are just over 2900 beads in this bracelet. And yes, I did pick them up one bead at a time!
