Product Description
This little souvenir wooden shoe from Holland could be hung on the wall (hook attached) or set on a shelf. The shoe is decorated with a tiny house, a man dressed in typical 16th century garb and a barrel and windmill in the background.

The Bols family came to Amsterdam in 1575 and opened Het Lootsje for the purpose of distilling liquors. That first wooden house is depicted on the shoe. Lucas Bols was born in 1652 and began making gin (Bols Genever) in 1664. It is still produced today with worldwide distribution.

The shoe is 6 inches long and was never meant to be worn. Condition is excellent. It is stamped on the bottom made in Holland. The inside and rim are painted bright red.
