In this lesson you will learn how to make three different types of flower petals and two types of centers to create your own sculpted flowers. These flowers can be used to embellish items such as switch plate covers, picture frames and boxes.
You will also learn how to turn your flowers into jewelry pieces like beads, a pendant, earrings and a brooch.

I have included my clay color recipes using Kato polyclay for the pieces in this tutorial but any of the colors can be substituted to create your own original designs.

This lesson consists of 27 pages broken down into 93 steps and includes more than 80 photos for easy and clear instruction.

Even though this tutorial is clearly explained, a basic understanding of working with polymer clay (conditioning, making a basic skinner blend, etc.) is recommended.

Materials and Tools Needed:
- Polymer clay (a strong type of clay is recommend such
as Premo, Fimo or Kato)
- liquid clay (Kato, sculpey or fimo)
- tissue blade
- pasta machine
- acrylic roller or brayer
- ball stylus or tool with a round end
- ruler
- shaped cutters
- bead piercing tools
- 20 gauge wire (craft, sterling, etc.)
- wire tools such as cutters, pliers, etc.
- small piece of thin dowel or rod
- jewelry findings such as ear wires, etc. (optional)
