OOAK MATTEL BARBIE REPAINT: NIMEESHA
Nimeesha is a former Mattel African American Barbie doll, repainted and costumed to become a one-of-a-kind princess.


The Doll
Nimeesha has been completely stripped of her factory paint, and her eyes have been repainted a chocolate brown. Her hair has been washed, cut, styled, and is topped off by a removable tiara.
Her lips are painted a deep red and she has a natural manicure and pedicure. All paints are artist quality paints and all paint has been sealed.

The Costume
Nimeesha dress is contructed of two parts. The underdress is crafted of a beige chiffon, and the overdress is constructed of green silk. The dress is accented with a gold lace and trimming, and is hand beaed with hundreds of tiny green and white seed beads.
As with all of my costumes, the pattern was hand-draped by me, and of course, hand-sewn and hand-beaded.

The Accessories
Nimeesha wears a gold tiara and a green silk ribbon choker, accented with a large "diamond". A hand painted unicorn is perched on her hand. Gold shoes complete her costume.


Nimeesha will be carefully shipped in a custom made box with frameable COA. Please note that the costume is not removable. Mattel and Barbie are both registered trademarks, and I am in no way affiliated with Mattel.

All of the dolls I use as my canvases are re-purposed or reused. I rescued this gorgeous creature from a Goodwill pile and redid everything about her.

I don't know how many plastic dolls wind up in landfills very year, or out floating on some garbage barge, but I like to think I'm doing my part, one doll at a time, to make the world a little safer, a little cleaner, and maybe even a little prettier.
