OOAK Polymer Clay Sculpture Flower Fairy Riding Blue and Purple Snail

Product Description

This one of a kind creation was sculpted by hand in polymer clay. I used a real sea shell painted with blue and purple iridescent acrylic paint and sculpted the body from a custom mix of blue and purple polymer clay. I mixed blue and white embossing powder with the clay to achieve an interesting speckled effect. I used gold beads for the snail's eyes and feathers for her eyelashes. I sealed the snail's shell and body with high gloss glaze. The flower fairy riding the snail was also sculpted by hand from polymer clay. Her dress was made from purple and pink clay swirled together. She has long blonde hair and is holding a bouquet of bright yellow flowers. She also made her pet snail a pretty necklace of those same flowers. There's nothing this little fairy likes more than slowly gliding through the forests and fields on her pet snail and gathering wildflowers ;-) This whimsical sculpture would make a wonderful gift for anyone who believes in the magic of fairies!

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I've had some very nice sea shells for many years and finally decided they needed to become colorful and whimsical snails. Adding a snail rider only seemed natural!
