One day while out and about, we stopped in a parking lot edged by a veritable treasure trove of plants. The sprinklers had just shut off, and gorgeous water droplets sparkled on everything. In this shot, the middle water droplet reflects the red of some flowers on a nearby plant. I printed this shot on metallic paper and it looks practically three-dimensional! Blue ribbons winner at the 2011 Boone County Fair and 2011 NW Arkansas District Fair.

My photography focuses on the natural world, and I especially enjoy capturing close-ups of flowers and items that would usually be overlooked, such as drain coverings. I shoot whatever catches my fancy, sometimes just holding the shutter open to capture whatever appears. I also love taking pictures of light and creating something unexpected. Other than minor cropping, I do not do anything to my photos - they are straight out of my camera!
