Bald eagle men's or unisex pewter medallion pendant on genuine black leather braided by hand cord.

The pewter eagle's head is beautifully detailed with a raised texture on a star-like oval background. Its mouth is open and proudly "hawking". *The black leather cord is hand braided and finished with silver plated cord endings. It fastens with an antiqued silver lobster clasp.

Pendant size: 43mm x 33mm (approximately 1-3/4 inch) long - See photo with ruler.
Leather cord length: 19 inches.

*Genuine leather cord tends to be a little stiff when it's new. Wearing your necklace often will make the cord more supple over time.

It is the national bird and symbol of the United States of America. This sea eagle has two known sub-species and forms a species pair with the White-tailed Eagle. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting.
