This beautiful hand knitted & felted mini top hat is made from purple 100 % woollen yarn. It has a small brim which is accentuated by a matching purple ribbon band with a fluffy purple feather and some mini wool dreadlocks in deep blue and purple that cascade over the brim. The hat is wide at the top and tapers in towards the base of the hat and out again at the brim, giving it a jaunty look. It is 14cm (5.5 inches) high and measures 21cm (8.25 inches) around the hat band.

These hats are perfect for pinning to your hair, to go with a special outfit, or to wear attached to falls or dreads that have been tied up. They are great for fancy dress, clubbing or to top of a burlesque / belly dancing outfit. There are so many ways to wear them and they look really cute!

This hat comes with a pinning strip around the inside of its brim (hair pins are not provided with the hat), but it can be attached to a hair comb or Alice band if you prefer. Leave a message in the customer notes if you would like me to do this.

The process of making these hats is fairly long. Firstly the hat gets hand knitted to about twice the size the finished hat will be and then it is hand felted down to its finished size. This can take two or three washings and drying to achieve the finished effect. I do not machine wash them to do this as I have found that it ruins the colours.
