Burls have wild grain patterns with curls, streaks, "eyes", small bark inclusions and mottled patters which make each bangle unique. Each piece of burl is truly one of a kind. Wear it along or in combination with other bangles.

This bangle was created by first turning and sanding. Then the bangle was dyed blue and allowed to dry. Once dry, it was sanded again aggressively. The dye penetrates the softer areas more than it does the hard areas, so when the burl is sanded, the thin layer of color is removed from the harder areas. Then the bangle was dyed with yellow dye. In the softer areas that had remained blue, the color changes to a green (blue and yellow make green). The harder areas that had little or no dye remaining become yellow. The bangle was then finished with multiple coats of crystal clear laquer and buffed to a mirror finish, making the colors pop.

This bangle's inside diameter is 2 3/8" (6 cm) and the inside circumference is 7 1/2" (19 cm). It is 1 " (2.5 cm) wide. It has multiple coats of waterproof, durable, non-toxic ( food safe) polyurethane oil finish which will provide years of carefree beauty.

How to size a bangle:

Cut a strip of paper an inch or so wide and 8" to 10" (20-25 cm) long. You can also use a string or a cloth tape measure.

Make your hand as small as possible - as if you were putting on a bangle.

Place the piece of paper/string/tape around the hand. If you are using a cloth tape measure, you can read the length directly and you can skip the rest of the steps.

Mark the paper/string and remove from the hand.

Measure the length of the paper/string.

That is the minimum size bracelet you can fit over your hand.
