Mini Art Quilt- Double Echinacea with Green- 5"x7" Flower Photo Series- Reg Price- $25

Mini art quilt with photos of Echinacea flowers in yellow and rosy orange. The photos were taken in my gardens, then printed onto cotton fabric. The photos are surrounded by fused crazy patch containing pieces of fabric that coordinate with the flower colors. Two corners are accented with pieces of a mottled green commercial fabric. Freemotion quilting adds more interest to the crazy patch areas with vinelike patterns and swirls. the outer edges are bound by an ivory yarn couched on. This piece is sized to fit a standard size frame, or can be displayed by mounting on a pre-stretched artist canvas. The canvas can be left as is, or covered with fabric before mounting the quilt. This little gem can also be displayed as is.

This will make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves to be surrounded by nature.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

My photos printed on fabric help me to bring my own gardens and other sights from the wonderful world around me to my quilts. At a distance a garden or other area may not be very appealing, but upon closer inspection, single blooms, leaves, or other things have much beauty. I am striving to bring that beauty in nature to my art quilts.
