This fused glass pendant features a silhouette of an owl sitting in a tree overlooking the beautiful natural landscape of the marsh or swamp at sunset. This pendant features sunset shades of orange and red creating a perfect backdrop for this mysterious scene of peaceful calm as the owl surveys the dusk waiting for night to fall.

This pendant was created in my home studio by blending, shading and shifting bits of garnet, orange, red and permission colored glass to make the gradient sunset background. Once the glass was properly kiln fired into a solid piece, it was cut into the rectangle or domino shape and polished. Finally, the enamel screen printed images of the marshes, tree and owl were added and permanently fused into the glass so they will never fade or wear off. Finally the piece was wrapped with sterling silver wire to frame the art and add a strong and graceful bail for hanging from your favorite chain or cord. The necklace comes with a complimentary 18inch silver plated rope chain. This pendant is waterproof and can be gently cleaned should the sterling silver require it.

She sits calmly in the tree as the sun moves on and dusk falls. This is that mysterious time between day and night where the day creatures become quiet and find their homes and the night creatures begin to awaken to their world. The waters shush against the earth and grasses as the evening breeze flows through. She wonders what this night will bring as she uses her huntress' eyes and sharp ears to appreciate the world of night awakening for her pleasure.
