Honu Sea Turtle Bead Woven Bracelet Cuff - Odd Count Peyote Stitch

Quantity: 1 available
Product Description
I have always loved the Hawaiian petro glyph symbol for Honu (Sea Turtle), so much so that I had it tattooed on my ankle when I retired in 2008. I have wanted to make a bracelet with this symbol for some time now and finally decided to buckle down and make it. The pattern is my design based loosely on my tattoo (and I mean loosely). I used two colors of 8/0 Japanese green seed beads (one opaque and one rainbow) to create the water and waves. The Hono glyph symbol is done with 11/0 opaque black Japanese seed beads. Black is the traditional color for Hawaiian tattoo's and my personal Hono was tattooed by a Hawaiian tattoo artist in black. The clasp is SP slide clasp.

Length: 7-1/2" , Width 1.5" (38 cm)
