Wire Sculpted Wrapped Spiral Pendant Aqua Swavorski Crystal necklace is completely hand constructed with a main frame of .925 sterling silver wire wrapped with German Silver beading wire. There is a Dichroic Glass bead which dangles from the bottom of the pendant. The drop is varied aqua shades with accents of amber, silver and black. The bail of the pendant is made with .925 sterling silver wire coiled into a 5 point star shape. The star center is an aqua Swavorski round faceted crystal.

The necklace is a handmade .925 sterling silver 2x2 link chain with intermittent links of aqua glass bead links that are hand wrapped for security. The 2x2 chain jump rings are totally hand made from a length of wire as well as the hook and eye clasp.

The pendant measures approximately 2.25 x 3.25 inches. The chain is 20.5 inches long with a 1.25 inch extension.

Sitting at my work table I knew that I wanted to work with my sterling silver wire. I was also fascinated to try the wire weaving technique. As so much of my work does I start out with one intent and end up doing something totally different. My creations start out as a seed does and spouts into its full bloom. When adding the bail I had seen the star technique in a magazine used a earrings. Once the star was made it needed something in its center, therefore the sparkle of the Swavorski crystal was the ticket.

Over the next couple of days the contemplation of the necklace on which to hand this magnificent pendant ranged from a leather, satin or velvet cord. None of these choices seemed to enhance the elegance this piece. I love making chain and the 2x2 chain I have for another item matched the feeling I wanted for this pendant. Off I went coiling and making jump rings. In order to complement the aqua of the pendant the bead links were added to give the balance that was desire.

Again out of a pile of supplies grew a beautiful elegant and unique necklace.
