Mini Composition Book Journal with Dandelion Fluff Photo Fabric Cover in Rose. This another of my original mini journals and is a perfect size for carrying anywhere with you at 3.5"x5" in size, and includes a purchased mini composition notebook- 80 Sheets of 3.5"x4.5" lined paper.

Mini journals are a great size to write down grocery lists, prayer lists, thoughts and more. The right size to slip into even a small purse. This cover features one of my macro photographs of a fluffy Dandelion seed head holding water droplets. The photo was printed onto cotton fabric to be used on the cover. Even with a degree in horticulture, I still have my share of weeds in the gardens, and this late season Dandelion seed head was a treasure to find on a very cold, wet Fall morning. One of my hand dyed fabrics in shades of blues, greens and bits of rose and yellow border the photo and is also on the back of the cover. A shimmery medium rose pink hand painted fabric was used for the spine of the cover. Black yarn was couched over the seams between fabric pieces, using a decorative stitch with a variegated thread for more interest. Pockets inside the cover hold book in place, and there is a ribbon and silver tone button button to keep the journal closed. An iridescent clear glass bead that reminds me of the drops of rain decorates the ribbon. When the paper is used up in one book, just replace with a new one. Mini composition books are available in office supply or department stores.

My gardens give me lots of enjoyment during through much of the year, and I take lots of photos of whatever is blooming or interesting at any time. I have been bringing the beauty of my gardens into my gift items by printing photos onto cotton or silk fabric with archival pigmented inks that I can use in various projects. The inks I use resist fading and water, so results in beautiful images that will last.

The base material of my book covers is a heavy interfacing that makes them very durable for years of use. There is no limit to the number of times you can replace the paper inside the cover. Pockets inside the front and back of the cover will securely hold your book.

I have never been able to remember much for very long, and now that I am dealing with fibro-fog, I have an even harder time of remembering anything. I find that keeping lists and reminders in little notebooks is very beneficial. I designed my covers to make what are usually not very pretty books look much nicer. I love to be surrounded by flowers and gardens, so using my photos and(or) sunprints made from leaves and flowers found in my gardens allows me to carry a bit of them with me wherever I go.
