Unique blue eyed white kitty cameo button. Bordered in a dark blue metallic clay.

There are no paints used in this. It's completely made with polymer clay and wow, what a time consuming process this is!

I started with a mould of the kitty and with teeny sculpting tools, packed the tiny spaces in the mould with colored clays.
The kitty's eyes are actually slices from one of my eyeball clay canes reduced REALLY small.
Even the pink in the ears was done this way. Slivers of pink clay laid in the mould. It comes out pretty neat but I doubt I'll be making many of these. And no two would ever be alike. This is most definitely a one of a kind piece.

Finally the mould I have is pretty small. I designed the border around the outside of my moulded piece to turn this into more of a decorative button. Its' very solid and would work well as either a functional button or just a decorative one.

The shank on the back has wire baked right into the clay. It's not just glued in. Very sturdy.

Polymer clay buttons are completely washable. It is recommended to turn garments inside out but that's just to prevent chips from it banging in the machine. The material itself is fine being washed. The color IS the clay so it's not like anything will rub off.

DO NOT DRY CLEAN.
