A pair of pink flamingos under a tropical palm tree. The cameo was bordered in a blend of blue and pearl clays. A silver tone bail is set right in to the clay.


I don't make many cameos and the reason is because the process is a LOT tougher than I thought.

Most cameos you find on line are made with liquid resins. Not mine.
I literally took bits of colored clay, and with a tiny sculpting too, packed the spaces of the mould with the appropriate colors. There is no paint involved here. No easy to use liquids. Even the tiny black beaks of the flamingos was hand set into the mould.
And sometimes, when I'm packing in the background color, the main colors shift. Ruining the whole thing.
This one came out but many end up in the recycle bin.

Definitely a one of a kind.
