Weathered blue stained wood fairy door, complete with matching separate window.

The door is bordered with a cut granite stone frame, and a natural bluish river stone wall around that.

The windows were cut from one of my own translucent polymer clay canes. I gave those a coat of gloss to really give the illusion that it's a glass window.

The heavenly blue morning glory vine, also from one of my own clay canes, matches the door quite well.
The metal hardware was coated with some blue mica powder to help it look more like shinny metal.

Finally I made a mini flower pot for the window cill. (Oh my hat goes off to you miniature makers out there. Shees!)

That window could be placed above the door as in my photo, or right next to it. Anywhere you like.
(everything is made with polymer clay of course.)

So what is a fairy door?
It's an adorable miniature door which you can place anywhere inside your home or out in the garden. By placing a fairy door you will invite mystical Fairies, (including the tooth fairy,) Pixies, Gnomes and all other magical wee folk an inviting entrance to your home for good luck.

My fairy doors are made of polymer clay. The back side is flat and this door does NOT come with any hooks, holes, or anything. I'll leave that up to you.
If placing indoors, that sticky stuff used to hold pictures to the wall would work just fine. These doors are very light.

If placing outside, say against a tree, I'd suggest either an apoxy, or silicon glue. Depending on the tree, you may be able to safely remove some of the bark and nestle the door right up against it. (do not dig too deep. We don't want to harm the tree.) This would work particularly well for the window. or... super glue some flat back tacks to the back of the door and that should work great up against a big tree and those wont' go deep enough to do any damage.
